This panel will highlight the important work being done by sociologists who are shedding light on the unequal impacts of COVID-19 within Canada. Panelists will shed light on their research with communities grappling with the uneven burdens that the pandemic has created. Panelists may address their research in relation to, for example, Indigenous nations and peoples, migrants and temporary foreign workers, lone parent families, and elders. In addition to providing new insights on the impacts of COVID-19, panelists will also be encouraged to discuss the challenges of conducting research during the pandemic and strategies they have implemented to resolve these issues.
