This event, held during Congress 2021 and moderated by Dr. Crystal Gail Fraser (Faculty of Native Studies and History, Classics, and Religious Studies, UAlberta), features authors and publishing staff from three Canadian university presses, discussing books and demonstrating how university presses work with Northern scholars and communities.


  • From University of Alberta Press: Leslie McCartney (author) and Sharon Snowshoe (Gwich’in Tribal Council) talk with Mat Buntin (acquisitions editor) about Our Whole Gwich’in Way of Life Has Changed / Gwich’in K’yuu Gwiidandài’ Tthak Ejuk Gòonlih: Stories from the People of the Land.
